High octane election campaign for Delhi elections.
report by Ekta Purohit,New Delhi
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, called upon the people of Delhi, stating that the time has come to uproot the corruption-ridden Aam Aadmi Party completely. He pointed out that the ₹28,400 crore Jal Board scam, ₹4,500 crore bus procurement scam, ₹500 crore misuse of funds in the name of bus facilities, and fraudulent health tests leading to crores of rupees in scams are proof of AAP’s corruption.
*Door to Door campaign*
As part of the Delhi Assembly election campaign, Bandi Sanjay, along with BJP Telangana treasurer Bhandari Shanti Kumar and Central BJP Coordinator at New Delhi for Telangana State Nune Balraj, conducted election campaigns in East Delhi and Shahdara Assembly constituency’s areas on Sunday morning. During this, he carried out door-to-door campaigning in areas with a high population of Baniya, Brahmin, and Valmiki communities, urging people to vote for BJP candidates.
*Highlighted Liquor corruption*
Speaking on the occasion, Bandi Sanjay criticized AAP leaders, stating that they had promised to stay away from extravagance and corruption but are now leading luxurious lifestyles while looting public money. He alleged that AAP MLAs, who once led simple lives before coming to power, have amassed immense wealth after assuming office.
He further stated that the Delhi liquor scam has even extended to Telangana and has disgraced the people of Delhi. He reminded everyone that the main accused in this scam are Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and BRS leader Kavitha. He accused Kejriwal of refusing to resign despite court pressure, proving his selfish political motives.
Bandi Sanjay claimed that the people of Delhi are fed up with the deceitful and misleading politics of the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the people are looking towards the BJP for change and development, and he is confident that the BJP will win with a massive majority in this election.
*Focus on Women empowerment*
He assured that once BJP comes to power, under the ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojana,’ eligible poor women will receive ₹2,500 per month in financial assistance, a free gas cylinder for ₹500, and under the Chief Minister’s Maternity Security Scheme, pregnant women will be provided ₹21,000 along with six nutrition kits. Additionally, he promised that in the first cabinet meeting itself, the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be implemented, providing free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh for eligible beneficiaries. He also reiterated that all promises mentioned in the BJP’s election manifesto will be fulfilled.
